Planet of the Women started with a fetish piece, the wood. It looks like a rock formation.
The women are a larger scale than the man, they are colorless, poised and thoughtful. It is as if they may not really exist or maybe not yet.
Only the man is in color, and he is fleeing. It is a geneses piece, the first of a potential larger body.
I feel we are shifting from a patriarchal to a matriarchal world with women in control.
I’m reminded of the 1989 Planet of the Women Bud Light Beer commercial. There are no men, (except for two research pilots), only women and an unlimited supply of bud light.
I could have fun with this. Vintage and futuristic.
