Matt Lamb, whose exuberant creatures and luscious abstractions have been exhibited in the Picasso Museum in Horta de Sant Joan, Spain; at the Centre Miró in Montroig, Spain; and at Westminster Cathedral, London, will be on hand during the opening reception for “Matt Lamb: Paintings 1990-2005,” on Friday, Jan. 6th, from 7-10 p.m. at the gallery. Lamb will autograph copies of his new biography, “Matt Lamb: The Art of Success,” by critic Richard Speer.

Update: The gallery helped launched the new biography, “Matt Lamb: The Art of Sucess,” with an autograph party for its author, critic Richard Speer, at Books & Books in Coral Gables. Surrounded by Lamb’s paintings, Speer showed his fascinated audience the extent of the artist’s hands-on technique: the back of one of Lamb’s canvases, which he  dunks into a matrix of gesso and concrete, clearly showed prints of his hands.
