Renato Meziat, whose solo exhibition opens at ArtSpace Virginia Miller Galleries on Nov. 2nd, confirms something that a lot of us have suspected for years: anyone can cultivate a set of skills in the arts, but most dedicated artists are born with a particular talent. Meziat is a case in point: after spending his younger years as a guitarist with his own band in his native Brazil and attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, he returned home, picked up the paints and brushes his father was using as a hobby, and discovered that he had a natural aptitude for painting. Today, the self-taught artist is one of the finest realistic painters handled by this gallery n its 45-year-history. See for yourself at here or better yet, join us from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2nd, enjoy a spectacular exhibition, and meet the artist in person.
